The Formula 1 Grands Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been canceled due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the FIA ​​(International Automobile Federation) announced this Saturday (14).

“Today it has been confirmed that, following a thorough assessment and due to the current situation in the Middle East region, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will not be contested in April,” the FIA ​​said in a statement.

Free practice, qualifying and Formula 1 races in these two Gulf Arab countries, which have been frequent targets of Iranian attacks since the end of February, were scheduled for April 10-12 and April 17-19, respectively, and will not be replaced by other Grands Prix.
