The memberships were endorsed by the national president of the party, by the president of Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo), and by the federal deputy.
Among the new members with a mandate, Cezinha de Madureira and Oséias de Madureira highlighted their departure from the PSD in a tone of gratitude. Cezinha stated that he arrives at PL with “responsibility and willingness” to contribute to the political project and thanked Gilberto Kassab for the years of coexistence. He also said that he continues with the purpose of working in Congress in defense of São Paulo and the country.
Hosea stated that he begins “a new chapter” in the public trajectory and said that the decision was made with “dialogue, respect and direction”. The deputy also thanked Kassab and highlighted his alignment with Bishop Samuel Ferreira, a religious leader linked to the group.
Already Vinícius Carvalho, ex-Republicans, and Marcelo Aguiar, ex-Podemos, begin to reinforce the party’s bench at the federal and state level, respectively, expanding the PL’s presence in both Houses.
During the affiliation ceremony, Valdemar said that “very good people are coming” to the party and stated that he did not do the math on how many people should join the party.
In the group of new members without a mandate, pastor Rogério Martins appears as one of the names linked to the interior of São Paulo with the prospect of running for office. In a publication, he thanked the party for the reception and cited the support of political, religious leaders and the church itself.
Also joining the PL, with the expectation of running for elected positions, are Dr. Rogério Luiz Zeraik Abdalla, Antonio Freire and Dilmo dos Santos, cited by the party as part of the strengthening of the party in the State.
