Last year, entry and approach bans were issued more than 14,000 times. The exact figures are still under wraps because the Interior Ministry’s current violence protection report has not yet been presented. In any case, there should be no major change compared to 2024. The perpetrators – or the perpetrators, as they are called in official jargon – are predominantly men. But not only. 80 to 90 percent of these restraining orders are for men. But women are also perpetrators – or threats. Children and young people also turn to the police for help because they are being beaten by their mothers, and there are also women who beat men or, more commonly, stalk them.
