The party just hasn’t dropped the hammer yet because it is analyzing the legal feasibility of the maneuver.
The assessment is that the law does not prevent someone from outside the country from running, but the PL fears that the TSE will have another understanding, motivated by political issues.
The demand is part of the endorsement given by the former deputy, self-exiled in the USA, to the president of the SP Assembly as a candidate, instead of a close ally.

“We can add a lot at this moment to Governor Tarcísio’s ticket [de Freitas]bringing the political class, the mayors, the councilors closer together”, Prado told the Panel.
As agreed between the party president, Valdemar da Costa Neto, and Eduardo, the announcement of Prado’s candidacy should take place by the beginning of May.
