In August 2023, C6 Bank reported that it had renewed the contract with Gisele Bündchen until 2025. “I am happy to be able to continue participating in the communication strategy of C6 Bank, a modern bank that has stood out for having a diversified platform of financial products”, said the model at the time.

According to the institute, irregular charges were identified for benefits from policyholders with contracts linked to the bank. The agency reported that the institution will have to return around R$300 million to the affected beneficiaries.

The suspension will remain in effect until all amounts unduly deducted are refunded with monetary correction. The INSS also ordered the bank to stop charges considered irregular.

Audit of Comptroller General of the Union identified at least 320,000 contracts with signs of discounts for unauthorized services. These include insurance and additional packages charged directly to the benefits of retirees and pensioners. The irregularities were later confirmed by the institute’s technical areas.

The INSS stated that it applied the suspension after the bank failed to comply with rules established in an agreement previously signed with the body. In recent months, representatives of the two institutions held meetings to address the issue, but there was no consensus to resolve the problem.

If the decision is not complied with, the institute may suspend financial transfers and activate the Dataprev to ensure the implementation of the measures.

What C6 Bank says

“C6 completely disagrees with the INSS interpretation and will seek its right to defense in the judicial sphere, because it did not commit any irregularities and strictly followed all current regulations.

“The bank clarifies that contracting a payroll loan was never conditioned on the purchase of any other product and that it does not deduct monthly installments relating to contracting a benefits package.”
