Ukraine is finalizing an agreement on security cooperation with India and preparing new announcements. At the same time, he is dealing with the EU to release the loan blocked by Hungary.

Ukraine and India have agreed on cooperation in the field of security and the relevant documents are currently being prepared, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced on Sunday evening in his regular address. TASR informs about it with reference to the news website Ukrainska Pravda.

“Next week, we are preparing important announcements about security cooperation with partners. Let’s not forget that Ukraine’s air defense, support of our army, and security of our defense remain unchanging priorities,” Zelenskyy declared.

Agreement with India

He added that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov cooperates with the relevant countries. “We already have an agreement on security cooperation with India and we are finalizing it so that the documents are ready,” he said.

Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine is preparing for further cooperation with European partners in order to release an aid package in the form of a European Union loan worth 90 billion euros, which is blocked by Hungary.

Hungarian requirements

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Sunday that Ukraine has indicated its readiness to resume supplies of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary and Slovakia as early as Monday if Budapest stops blocking the payment of the loan. This information was conveyed to him by the European Union. However, Budapest first demands the restoration of oil supplies, and only then is it willing to lift its veto.
