The family of Zlatica Švajdová Puškárová and Patrik Švajda started a new stage of life last year. The big change was made by the elder son of the couple, Leonard, who received an offer to play in a prestigious Swedish hockey club. Despite the fact that the young man is doing well abroad and his name shines in the table of top players in the first place, the prominent couple remains down to earth. In an interview for the web they emphasized that Leo has his hockey future in his own hands.
The proud mother always likes to brag about the achievements of her first-born child on social media. However, she chose her words carefully in front of the cameras. “We talk about it very reservedly, because it’s so strange. I would never have thought that our son would bring us such a question at the age of 15, for example. We take it with great humility. There really are hours and days of hard work, discipline and regime behind it,” Puskárová emphasized.
“Few people know about us, our shadowy life. Paťo often went to training sessions with him at four in the morning. Sometimes we worked in such a way that he would run to the news, I would run to Nitra or Trnava. We approach it very honestly and not everyone would trade it with us. Especially the responsibilities.” the TV star described their family itinerary.
Švajda followed up on his wife’s words and emphasized that his son’s performance in a foreign hockey team cannot yet be called a huge success. “It is true that Leo is trying and is on an excellent path, because he is in an organization that simply produces skilled hockey players, drafted hockey players and NHL hockey players. That Swedish club is really top-notch. The fact that they chose him is already a really good success.” said the moderator.
He added in one breath that how the boy rose to the occasion was up to him. “I said that the way we have taken care of him sportingly so far, so now we leave it to him. He has all the conditions, he has all the possibilities, so far he is going like a saw. But whether he will make a living playing hockey and whether he will be a hockey star, that is still in the stars.” stated Švajda soberly.
Puškárová added that they are also very supportive of other parents who have the opportunity to stand by their children and help them develop athletically or educationally, because it will be returned to them. “The times are bad. In my opinion, the presence of a parent is very important now, and we try to be his support. We fly to Sweden regularly. We are set up like that. It’s so touching for me to see my son in such a situation.” the familiar face of television felt.
Švajda reminded her that they had another son. The little schoolboy is obviously from a slightly different path than his older brother. “Adamka, he doesn’t want anything, but he plays tennis again.
