While the original long-term forecasts of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) counted on a normal and average beginning of the month, the current models show the exact opposite. The first full moon of spring should be marked by abnormal temperatures and increased precipitation, states .
The temperature break should occur in the first decade, which also includes the Easter holidays. While temperatures will remain within normal limits until the end of March, with nighttime lows around zero and daytime highs around 10°C, April will bring a noticeable warming.
The morning lows will gradually rise to around 5 °C, and during the day the thermometers should even exceed 15 °C. However, experts from ČHMÚ also point out that short-term fluctuations outside the expected values are not excluded during this period.
A significant change does not bypass even the precipitation mode. While the current March days are calm in terms of rain and do not bring any extremes, in the coming weeks you have to expect real April weather. Meteorologists warn that precipitation will become more and more frequent, and their totals will soon reach the interface of average to above-average values.
