Bregenz – In Vorarlberg’s cultural scene, dissatisfaction continues to grow over the way the state and the cultural center operating company (KUGes) are dealing with state theater director Stephanie Gräve. Last week, State Councilor Barbara Schöbi-Fink (ÖVP) announced that Gräve’s contract would not be extended after 2028. The move caused widespread incomprehension. Since then, the protest has not stopped, also because the reasons for it remain unclear despite the KUGes’ subsequent explanation.
