The mayor of do Sul, , appointed an employee who works at his wife’s company as an advisor to his office. The incident was the subject of a complaint to the State Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Campanella appointed Vicente Mutzemberg Andrade, on January 13, 2025, to the role.
Andrade also presents himself as vice-president of Engefood, whose partners are the first lady of the municipality, Renata Galati and her father, the mayor’s father-in-law. The company sells equipment for use in industrial kitchens.
To the Panel, the city hall stated that the advisor fulfills his duties in accordance with the legislation and that the complaint presented to the Public Ministry is unfounded.
