PT from RJ supports Paes for government and Benedita for Senate – 04/19/2026 – Politics

The PT State Directory of (PT-RJ) made official, this Saturday (18), support for (-RJ) in the dispute for state government. The decision was taken unanimously during the party’s meeting, which also defined the former mayor’s candidacy for re-election as the president (PT).

Senator Benedita da Silva (PT-RJ) was defined as the main candidate, with councilor Felipe Pires as the first substitute and pastor and singer Kleber Lucas as the second substitute.
