The election for the rectory will be decided in a second round after voting held online this Thursday (19). None of the tickets reached more than 50% of the valid votes, a necessary criterion for victory in the first round.
In the count, the ticket headed by Carlos Paula and Almecina Balbino, supported by the current dean Guida Aquino, led with around 42% of the votes. Then come Josimar Batista and Marco Antônio, with approximately 38%. The ticket formed by Raquel Ishii and Suerda Mara received around 17% and did not advance.

Voting was carried out through the platform, available on the official website. To participate, voters used their ID-UFAC, consisting of their CPF and institutional password.
With the result defined, the second round is scheduled for March 26th and will feature the participation of the two most voted candidates. The new stage should define the university’s command for the next few years, in a dispute that remains fierce.
After the result, Josimar Batista thanked the teachers and students who voted for his ticket and stated that the candidacy has been built through dialogue, highlighting the participation of the academic community throughout the entire electoral process.
