Lawyer and politician Gerardo Henrique, who died on Sunday (19) at the age of 96, was the subject of a fight on BBB 26. His daughter, Ana Paula Renault, is one of the finalists on the program and was involved in a clash during the season due to a comment made about him.
The confusion began when Alberto Cowboy, who was the 10th eliminated from the TV Globo reality show, hinted that his rival in confinement only showed himself to be human when it came to his father. Ana Paula then needed to be restrained by allies like Milena and Juliano Floss so as not to attack the veteran.
“Tell me about my father again, bastard. You don’t know what I’m going through. I almost never come in here because of him,” he said.
Ana Paula decides to stay at BBB 26 after learning of her death
At the opening of the live program on Sunday (19), Tadeu Schmidt informed the public of the death of Gerardo Henrique. The sister was called to the Confessionário moments before and received the news from the family.
According to the presenter, Ana Paula was informed about her death and had the option to leave the reality show, but decided to remain in the dispute.
“She decided to continue on the program. Soon after, she herself broke the news of what happened in a chat with Juliano there in the Eternal Room”, warned the presenter.
In conversation with Juliano, she reported that watched a video of the sisters asking him to stay on the program and stated that his father supported his participation.
“My father died,” she said, quite emotional. “It’s not making sense to me anymore. It even seemed like I knew what was coming. And then they didn’t let me talk to anyone, they just said that my sister called and they let me watch a video of my sisters telling me not to leave, that my father was watching me until the end”, he said.
The sister also recalled her father’s encouragement for her participation in the program. “You know he was the one who told me to come, right? Saying that I have to come after my retirement. They said he was watching me and he always said that I needed a direction for my life. I have nothing”, she stated, emotionally.”
