Motta wants to vote on rules for critical minerals in April – 03/20/2026 – Panel

The president of , (-PB), intends to vote on the national and strategic policy at the beginning of April.

The article, reported by federal deputy Arnaldo Jardim (Cidadania-SP), brings together a package of 13 projects that are being processed in the House on the subject.

This week, Motta and Jardim talked and agreed to discuss the topic as soon as the party membership deadline ends, on April 4th.

One of the axes of the project is to create rules to allow the processing and transformation of minerals, thus preventing Brazil from being just an exporter of commodities.

The biggest producer today is China, which has led countries like the USA to look for other sources of supply. This could benefit Brazil, which has vast reserves of these substances.
