Spotify reveals the most listened to songs of the last 20 years, in the month in which it celebrates two decades of existence.

A few days ago we talked about Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny on ZAP, who we gave as an example of artists who are so popular that the release of their new works.

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of Spotify. Since it began operations in April 2006the platform has become the dominant force in streaming and completely transformed the music industry.

Some of these changes included the audiolivrosos Spotify Wrapped year-end roundupsand, in recent years, the introduction of artificial intelligence in the music streaming experience.

Now, for the first time in its two decades of history, Spotify has released its internal data on the 20 most listened to songs, audiobooks and podcasts since the platform’s creation. The results may not be entirely surprising. For example, the most listened to artist of the last 20 years is Taylor Swift.

But there are some surprises, being Beyoncé perhaps the main one. Beyoncé failed to enter the top 20 most listened to artists list, as none of her songs or albums appeared in their respective top 20.

According to , the most listened to album of all time is “A Summer Without You“, of Bad Bunnyand the most listened to song is ““, by The Weeknd.

As far as non-music streaming goes, the most listened to podcast ever was “The Joe Rogan Experience,” and the most popular audiobook was “A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas.
