G7 talks about protecting energy supplies and supports security of the Strait of Hormuz

PARIS, March 21 (Reuters) – Group of Seven foreign ⁠ministers said on Saturday (21) ‌that they are ready to take the necessary measures to support global ⁠energy ⁠supply and reaffirmed the importance of protecting maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.

“We… express support for our partners in the region in the face of the unjustifiable attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran and its representatives”, said in a statement the ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, in addition to the European Union.

“We strongly condemn the regime’s reckless ⁠attacks against civilians ⁠and civilian infrastructure, including energy infrastructure,” they added.
