The President of the United States, Donald Trump, rejected on Sunday night (22) an agreement with the Democratic Party for the approval in the Senate of the Save America Act, which changes voter registration. Trump defended that parliamentarians end the obstruction of the matter and, if necessary, work at Easter to approve the package.
Trump also stated that an agreement with what he called “crazy people and left-wing radicals” would be unacceptable unless it included the obligation for voters to present photo identification and proof of citizenship when voting, in addition to the elimination of voting by mail.
The American president also spoke of preventing the participation of trans women in women’s sports and ending what he called the “mutilation” of transgender children in the bargain with the opposition.
In a publication on the Truth Social network, Trump also accused Democrats of cutting US$5 billion in funding for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Finally, the president called on Senate Majority Leader John Thune to identify Republicans who “vote against America.”
