According to reports from family members, Gercilândia faced drug addiction and was also undergoing treatment for tuberculosis. At the time of the incident, she was walking along the road and, as she approached her own residence, she ended up suffering a sudden illness, falling unconscious.
Residents of the region noticed the situation and called the . An advanced support team was sent, but upon arriving at the scene, rescuers found that the woman no longer showed vital signs.
