Four injured in Iranian missile attack in Tel Aviv
At least four people have been slightly injured in an Iranian missile attack on Tel Aviv, Israeli police have reported. Several buildings have been affected by the impacts, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. In the city center, the newspaper reports, a building has been seriously damaged and several cars have caught fire. In addition, the remains of an intercepted missile have fallen in the Rosh HaAyin area, causing minor damage, in the city of Netanya and in Beersheva.
During the night, according to the Israeli army, Iran has launched several waves of missiles against Israel, which have activated anti-aircraft alerts in several areas, including Tel Aviv. “Search and rescue teams are heading to several locations in central Israel where reports of impacts have been received. The population is asked to avoid gathering in these areas,” the Israeli army urges in a message on networks.
After dawn, Israel also detected the launch of projectiles towards the north of the country, so emergency teams from the Magen David Adom (Red Star of David) were deployed to the cities of Nesher and Haifa, where a man was slightly injured. Paramedics were also activated in Beersheva (south) on Tuesday morning, after receiving reports of falling fragments of a projectile.
