Gayer compares Flávio with Trump and jokes about dancing: “He looks like an orangutan”

Federal deputy Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) compared the stance of senator and presidential candidate, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), during a pre-campaign event with that adopted by Donald Trump, current president of the United States.

In a video published on social media, Gayer comments on the dance done by the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro while participating in an event in João Pessoa, Paraíba. On that occasion, Flávio was filmed jumping and dancing across the stage, while interacting with PL voters in the state.

“It looks like an orangutan, right?” he asked as he imitated the dance to the senator himself. “People even questioned “but is it good to do that little dance?”, but I said, man, look at Trump, he’s the most serious guy and he was there”, he said, also imitating the dance movements made by the American president in various press conferences and official events.

The dance, published by Flávio in a video on social media, provoked negative reactions among the senator’s supporters. The negative repercussion occurred because the event coincided with the hospitalization of former president Jair Bolsonaro, who remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the DF Star hospital, in Brasília, being treated for bilateral bacterial pneumonia resulting from bronchoaspiration.

Faced with criticism, Flávio stated that participation in the event followed instructions from his own father. “Doing what my father, Jair Bolsonaro, asked: ‘Bring hope to the Brazilian people!’”, wrote the senator when sharing the video on social media.

Within the conservative camp, the video published by Flávio was explored by Planalto this year. The president of the Mission party and presidential candidate, Renan Santos, republished the recording with the caption “this is completely mentally retarded”.

Continues after advertising

Afterwards, the president of Missão published another message, in which he referred to Flávio as “Rachada” and criticized the politician’s stance in the current situation in Brazil.

“The country is in crisis, factions taking over cities, the biggest corruption scandal in history, his own father arrested and dying and the retarded Flávio Rachada dancing like an idiot out there. You have to be completely alienated to buy this candidacy. Not even the base itself can do it”, he said.

Non-Northeast Turn

Flávio initiated, on Saturday (21), one in the Northeast to structure state platforms, consolidate alliances and expand the political presence of the right in a territory historically considered Lula.

The first agenda took place in Natal, where the Liberal Party officialized the right-wing majority ticket for the elections in Rio Grande do Norte and confirmed former mayor Álvaro Dias as a candidate for the state government, with Babá Pereira as vice-president.

In João Pessoa, the senator even commented on organized crime in Brazil. During the event, Flávio stated that, if elected, he intends to classify criminal factions operating in Brazil as terrorist organizations.
