Alberto Laplaine Guimarães is one of four defendants arrested by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Operation Lúmen, which investigates suspected corruption in contracts for lighting in several municipalities, including the capital.
The four defendants were released this weekend by the Porto criminal investigation court and were informed this Tuesday of the coercive measures.
The owner of Castros Iluminações, the main suspect, will have to pay a bail of 100 thousand euros and will also be prohibited from carrying out functions in the company.
Carla Salsinha will also have to leave her position at the Union of Commerce and Services Associations.
