Former president of , Juliano Medeiros will take command of the federation that the party forms with Rede Sustentabilidade. The party arrangement, which has existed since 2022, was renewed this month.
“We have a tough election ahead. PSOL and Rede can play a fundamental role in Lula’s campaign, helping to guarantee the expansion of the left-wing benches in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, in addition to presenting programmatic and ideological candidacies to state governments. I’m happy to be back helping in this mission”, says Medeiros, who presided over PSOL between 2017 and 2023.
His return to a party leadership position comes at a delicate moment for the PSOL, after the party’s rejection of a federation with the PT.
