Volkswagen Tiguan is back with a 2.0 engine and 4motion traction

A Volkswagen decided to listen to the customer when launching the third generation of the Tiguan in Brazil. The SUV is back on the national market with a renewed look, more technology and a mechanical package desired by the customer. THE Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line It hits stores in May with a price of R$299,990.

One of the car’s highlights is the EA888 Evo5 2.0 four-cylinder turbo engine, which delivers 272 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. This is the most powerful mechanical package ever offered on the Tiguan in the Brazilian market.

The engine works in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the 4Motion all-wheel drivewhich distributes the force between the axles according to the road grip conditions. The system uses a Haldex coupling to automatically manage torque delivery. 2.0 TSI engine and 4×4 traction were some of the consumer’s wishes.

The look of the car features a new grille with larger air intakes at the ends of the bumper, with a focus on aerodynamic efficiency. The model also receives a new light signature with fully LED IQ.Light Matrix headlights.

For the first time on a model in Brazil, the SUV has an illuminated logo at both the front and rear. The lanterns also use LED technology and include configurable animations for the welcome and farewell functions.

The wheels are 19 inches in the R-Line version, while the rear features a horizontal strip of lighting that connects the headlights, an element that reinforces the visual identity of the new generation. The car is 4.69 m long with a wheelbase of 2.79 m. The trunk is 423 liters

The interior features a Digital Cockpit Pro cluster 10.25 incheswhile the multimedia center reaches 15 inches and allows configuration of various vehicle functions. The multimedia system offers wireless integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a voice assistant and a configurable interface.

The new Tiguan brings together more than 12 active driver assistance systems. Among the available features are autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant and the Travel Assist system, which combines to offer level 2 semi-autonomous driving.

Another feature is Emergency Assist, which can bring the vehicle to a safe stop if it detects the driver’s lack of reaction.

In Brazil, the Tiguan 2026 will be sold exclusively in the R-Line configuration and without options. The model includes a panoramic sunroof and 19-inch wheels as standard. They are six colors available: Ascot Gray (always with Mystic Black roof) and Pacific Blue are new for the Tiguan. Platinum Gray, Pyrit Silver, Pure White and Mystic Black are also options.

There are also two interior options: Soul Grigio with seats in black and gray (only available in Pacific Blue, Platinum Grey, Pyrit Silver and Pure White) and Soul-Ambar Brown, with leather in black and brown (available exclusively for Ascot Gray and Mystic Black).

The launch in the dealership network is scheduled for May 7th.
