The singer Daniela Nízlová from the duo Twiins has not contacted her followers on the social network for some time. Now she has revealed the terrifying truth of why that was. “You’ve probably noticed that I haven’t been here much lately. I gave birth for the second time two weeks ago,” she wrote on March 23 and published a PHOTO from the surgical clinic, which you can find in the gallery.
Daniela admitted that she had an unfortunate fall. “I survived a very bad fall down the stairs headfirst and onto my back. All the angels stood by me, unfortunately, a family friend of ours did not survive a similar fall,” revealed a terrifying incident. Nízlová did not leave unscathed after a nasty fall.
“I had a check-up today, I “only” have a cracked rib, although I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. So I’m reporting that I’m fine, healing will take another two weeks and I’ll be fit,” she announced on Monday, March 23, on the social network.
A day later, she contacted her followers again and expressed her gratitude for the fans’ words of encouragement. “Thank you for the beautiful news, I have to knock, yesterday was the first day without Flector (painkiller, editor’s note) and i feel good. So it will only get better and better“, she assured her supporters that she is slowly healing.
Such an injury is one of the most dangerous scenarios in both medicine and emergency services. The biggest risk in such a fall is injury to the spine and spinal cord. When the body falls backwards or upside down uncontrollably, the cervical spine is extremely vulnerable. All it takes is an unfortunate impact at the wrong angle and the vertebrae can be fractured, which in worse cases leads to permanent paralysis or even immediate cessation of breathing. if the spinal cord in the high neck is damaged.
Another huge scare is internal bleeding. A cracked rib itself is very painful, but the real danger lies in what lies beneath. A sharp rib fragment or the impact itself can damage the lungs (cause them to collapse) or hit the spleen or liver. These injuries are not always visible right away, but they can be life-threatening.
Do not forget the head injury. If you fall head down, there is a risk of severe concussion or intracranial bleeding. Just because someone is communicating and seems fine after a fall doesn’t mean they’re out of danger – bleeding in the brain can take hours to manifest. Therefore, be sure to visit a doctor who will rule out the danger.
