The Federal Supreme Court (STF) determined this Wednesday (25) the end of various financial aid paid to judges and members of the Public Ministry across the country.

Penduricalhos are benefits granted to public servants and which, added to the salary, do not meet the constitutional salary ceiling of R$46,300.
The measure was determined in the same decision in which the Court limited the payment of penduricalhos to 35% of the Supreme Minister’s salaryequivalent to the constitutional salary ceiling of R$46.3 thousand.
The suspension applies to payments provided for in administrative decisions, resolutions and state laws, and were not provided for in federal laws.

Maintained Advantages
The STF also validated payments of penduricalhos provided for in federal law. These payments must be limited to 35% of the constitutional ceiling, or which is equivalent to R$ 16.2 thousand.
Retroactive payments of these benefits recognized by judicial or administrative decision prior to February 2026, the month in which the Supreme Court began to decide the issue, were also authorized.
The bonus for length of service was maintained by the ministers. The benefit is also provided for by law, which includes an increase of 5% to the salary per year worked. The additional was also limited to 35% of the ceiling and can be added to other fixturestotaling salaries of R$78,800 per month for judges and prosecutors in the final stages of their careers.
