The senator and pre-candidate for the government of Paraná, Sergio Moro, criticized the Workers’ Party (PT) and defended the United States’ decision to classify the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and the Comando Vermelho (CV) as terrorists. “The measure contributes to expanding international cooperation in the fight against organized crime and reinforces the need to confront factions”, said the former judge of Operation Lava Jato to Young Pan.
During the conversation, the senator once again criticized the Workers’ Party (PT), stating that the caption “would be associated with cases of corruption”. When asked about allegations involving senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and businessman Daniel Vorcaro, Moro stated that Flávio has already provided clarifications on the case and reiterated that, in his assessment, the “PT is the party most associated with corruption scandals in the country”.
In the economic area, Moro stated that, if he is elected governor of Paraná, intends to boost the development of the State. “The objective is to make Paraná overtake São Paulo and become the strongest economy in the country,” he said. In a relaxed tone, he sent a message to the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), saying that he should “take care of himself”.
Moro is experiencing a moment of intensification of political articulations for the 2026 elections. In March this year, the senator made his affiliation with the Liberal Party (PL) official and confirmed his pre-candidacy for the government of Paranácounting on the support of the party and party leaders.
Recent surveys also place him among the main names in the dispute for the Iguaçu Palace.
