The Rota Vicentina Association is recruiting an intern to support trail maintenance, within the scope of , promoted by IEFP.
The entity highlights that “working outdoors, taking care of trails and experiencing the territory up close… this could be the beginning of a career!”, highlighting the practical and immersive nature of the role.
More than a technical function, the association says that this opportunity provides experience in direct contact with the territory.
According to Rota Vicentina, “more than a technical function, this internship offers practical experience in direct contact with nature, contributing to environmental preservation and the development of nature tourism in the Southwest of São Paulo: a region recognized for its biodiversity and unique landscapes.”
The organization adds that it is “a practical internship to support trail maintenance, linked to nature, sustainability and life in a rural context.”
New approach to starting your career
The association frames this opportunity in a context of change in the job market.
“For years, the beginning of a career followed a predictable pattern: office, computer, repetitive tasks and little connection to the real world”, he says, adding that “But this model is changing.”
In this sense, he emphasizes that “today, more and more young people are looking for an internship in nature, with impact, practical learning and an experience that goes beyond the curriculum.”
The entity also considers that “this is exactly what this internship opportunity at Associação Rota Vicentina wants to offer.”
Functions and framework of the internship
Within the scope of IEFP’s +Talento measure, the internship focuses on trail maintenance, but includes other aspects of intervention in the territory.
According to the association, the intern will “contribute to an associative project linked to nature tourism”, “Support environmental preservation” and “Work closely with local communities”.
The internship is aimed at unemployed young people registered with the IEFP, with level 6 qualifications (degree) and aged up to 35 years, with the workplace in Odemira.
Conditions and desired profile
Rota Vicentina informs that the internship lasts six months, with a monthly stipend of R$ 1,181.69, food assistance and possible support for transport expenses.
Regarding the profile, the association states that “This internship is not for everyone… it is for those who:” demonstrate an interest in the rural world, sustainability and responsible tourism, value practical experiences and enjoy physical activity.
Skills in areas such as photography, video, writing or social media are also valued.
Learning experience in the territory
The association highlights the formative and human component of the experience.
“You will work with a small, close and available team, where there is space to learn, ask questions and grow on a daily basis,” he says.
The organization also highlights that “after 6 months, the most important thing is not what you add to your resume, but what you take with you.”
He concludes by stating that “if you are looking for a paid internship in the Southwest of São Paulo that challenges you, takes you out of your routine and makes you put your hands (and feet) on the ground, this could be the right opportunity.”
