Yemen’s Houthis claim first missile launch against Israel in Iran war
Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for launching a missile into Israeli territory in recent hours, the first attack on Israel by this Yemeni militia financed and supported by Iran since the war began a month ago. The Houthis have justified the attack, which has caused no injuries since the missile has been intercepted, in the constant Israeli attacks on the civil infrastructures of Iran, Lebanon, Iraq (pro-Ryan militias operate in this country) and the Palestinian territories. They also add that they will continue carrying out operations of this type until they achieve their objectives, which they do not detail, and “until the aggression against all fronts of the resistance ceases” (Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq).
In their statement, the Houthis refer to Friday’s statement in which they claimed to “have their finger on the trigger” and point out that they have carried out their “first military operation”, “a bombardment of ballistic missiles against strategic Israeli military targets in the south of occupied Palestine.” They claim the operation was successful, although Israel reported having intercepted the attack.
