The supposed announcement is circulated in a post that went viral on social media in recent days. But will the Italian tenor and the Canadian singer go on an international tour together? SIC Verifies.
Last week, a viral post on social media presented itself as an “official announcement” of a historic tour that would bring together “two legendary voices”: the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and the Canadian singeriana Celine Dion.
The publication promises concerts in Europe, North America and Australiadescribing a tour as “rara” e “memorable”.
The message replicates a typical institutional communication format and even includes an external link, an element that contributes to giving you the appearance of credibility.
What we know (and what doesn’t exist)
There is no official confirmation of a joint tour of Bocelli and Dion. A check of the artists’ official channels – sites, promoters and social media – shows that no announcement was made in that regard.
The allegation originates from a full of publications with content from clickbait. Additionally, the link included in post no belongs to recognized ticket sales platforms or of organization of events, which is a typical sign of misinformation in this type of cases.
The idea of a joint tour gains traction by not being entirely implausible in the first place: Bocelli and Dion share a history of collaborations, particularly on the theme “The Prayer”.
A SIC Verifies that and…
The tenor Andrea Bocelli and the singer Celine Dion have not announced any joint world tour for 2027.
