One Retired Military Police (PM) major was arrested in the act on Saturday night (28) after attacking his partner in the Vila Scarpelli neighborhood, in Santo André, as reported by the Public Security Secretariat (SSP).
Military police officers were called to respond to the incident and, upon arriving at the scene, They found the victim with injuries to her body and locked in a room with her teenage daughter. The 42-year-old woman confirmed that she had been attacked by her partner.
The suspect, aged 54, was in the property and presented “changed behavior and even disrespected one of the police officers”confirmed the SSP. He was taken to the city’s 2nd DP and the case was registered as bodily injury, insult, threat, domestic violence and contempt.
An examination was also requested from the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for the victim. Subsequently, the accused was sent to the Romão Gomes Military Prison, where he remained at the disposal of the Justice.
The SSP reported that the case is also determined through a Military Police Inquiryestablished by the corporation.
