The former minister of the government (PL), was confirmed as a speaker at the 2026 Freedom Forum, the country’s main liberal event.
The meeting, organized by the Institute of Business Studies (IEE), takes place on April 9th and 10th in Porto Alegre (RS). It is the first time that Guedes, one of the main references of economic liberalism in the country, has participated in the Forum since 2008. He was also in the 2006, 1996, 1991 and 1990 editions.
The Forum will have more than 70 panelists. Among them, Adam Howard, former member of the State Department in the Donald Trump administration, former president of Bolivia, and columnist for Sheet. In the 2025 edition, the event reached a record attendance of 6,700 registrants.
