Trump threatens to destroy oil wells and Kharg Island if Iran doesn’t reopen Hormuz

US President Donald Trump said the Americans are in “serious” negotiations with a new, more “reasonable” regime to end Washington’s military operations in Iran.

In a publication in Truth Social, Trump also said that “great progress has been made with Tehran, but warned of the possible consequences if there is no pact between the parties.

“If for some reason an agreement is not reached soon, which is likely to happen, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately ‘open for business,’ we will conclude our lovely ‘stay’ in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of its electrical power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island,” he wrote.

According to Trump, all desalination plants – places that have not yet been hit in offensives during the conflict – could also be affected.

The US president also stated that the possible action will be in retaliation for the “many soldiers” of the US that Iran “massacred and killed” during the 47 years of what he classified as the former regime’s “Reign of Terror”.
