The US congresswoman (Republican-Florida) said that “Brazilians can’t take Lula anymore” and declared that he will be defeated in the elections. The statement was made last Thursday (26 March 2026), in a publication on the social network X.
In the post, the congresswoman wrote that Lula is aligned with “dictators of Latin America”defends criminals and governs with a “primer” which, according to her, involves censorship and persecution of opponents. Salazar also criticized what he called the attempt to silence voices and close digital platforms, stating that the government classifies these actions as defending democracy.
The deputy also stated that “Brazil will not go back” and that “freedom will win”stating that Lula will be defeated at the polls.
