Bregenz – Up to half a meter of fresh snow overnight and strong winds increased the avalanche danger in eastern Vorarlberg to the second highest level (warning level 4 – major danger) on Tuesday. The Lechquelle Mountains, the Allgäu Alps West, the Lechtal Alps and the Verwall Group West above 2,000 meters above sea level were affected. According to the state’s avalanche warning service, small to medium-sized avalanches can occur due to even a small amount of additional stress.
