“Our Love”from 2019, is a film about love and companionship, bringing the story of a couple who need to face an illness and deal with the challenges related to it.
The plot follows Joan (Lesley Menville) and Tom (), a middle-aged Irish couple. Their lives change when the woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. The story is based on the personal experience of screenwriter Owen McCafferty.
He and his wife, Peggy, experienced the same drama and were encouraged by producer, David Holmes, to turn their recovery into a story for the world.
To show the same love, Lesley and Liam spent afternoons together in New York, seeking the same connection as the inspiring couple. As a result, it was critically acclaimed and became Neeson’s third best-regarded film.
