The president (PT) stated this Wednesday (1st) that the senator, with an eight-year term, “thinks he is God” and could create problems for the Planalto Palace if the government does not have a base in the House.
The president reinforced in an interview in Ceará, where he is fulfilling agendas this Wednesday, that the “problem” of allied parties this year is electing senators and building bigger ones in Congress.
“The elections for the Senate are very important. The senator with an eight-year term thinks he is God. And he can create a lot of problems if you don’t have a support base within the Senate,” said Lula in an interview with TV Cidade do Ceará.
O with the president of the House, ( – AP), regarding the appointment of a minister to the (Supreme Federal Court) for the vacancy left by the retirement of Luis Roberto Barroso.
On Tuesday (31), the communication formalizing the appointment of , Minister of the Attorney General of the Union, was sent to the Senate, but it had not been formalized. Alcolumbre’s preference was to choose senator Rodrigo Pacheco (MG) for the post.
Lula also commented on the Minister (Education)’s choice to leave the government for a possible dispute in this year’s elections.
There is a possibility that the head of the department will dedicate himself to supporting Lula’s campaign or run as a candidate for the Government of Ceará, his state, in which he has already held the position twice.
“I didn’t want him [Camilo] had left. But he has a flea behind his ear that he wanted to get out of,” said Lula.
The president, however, stated that he believes that the current governor of Ceará, Elmano de Freitas (PT), is a candidate for re-election, unless “a figure like [Donald] Trump [presidente dos Estados Unidos] here making a disaster.”
The PT member also commented on his relationship with (PSDB), which should also run for the Government of Ceará and ahead of Elmano in voting intentions.
Lula stated that he had respect for Ciro, who was a minister in his first term as President, but characterized his former ally as “intemperate”.
“There was no break, Ciro dreamed of being a candidate, and he thinks it was me who didn’t want him to be president, and it was the people who didn’t want him.”
