Fake SSDs are becoming increasingly difficult to detect

The big run by AI manufacturers and data center operators on memory chips has triggered a veritable availability bottleneck. This is sometimes accompanied by massive price increases, which private consumers also feel the effects of. DDR5 memory bars are particularly affected, but they are not the only components for which you have had to dig deeper into your wallet for months. Older DDR4 memory also costs significantly more. This also leads to delays and increases in prices for long-awaited products. For example, Valve postponed the announcement of a delivery date and prices for the Steam Machine and other devices. Sony, in turn, is raising the prices for its Playstation consoles significantly from today (April 2nd) – even before that.
