Sergey N., a 43-year-old Ukrainian bricklayerwould have acted in Germany allegedly as Russia’s foreign military intelligence service. Specifically, the individual is accused of having spied, together with a Romanian citizen named Alla S, on a businessman in the arms sector of the state of Bavaria that supplies drones and military components to the Ukrainian forces.
Both subjects would have recorded on video the businessman’s workplace and address where he was registered. Investigators suspect that the spy operation could have served to prepare an attack on that man’s life.

Shortly after, Police officers detained Sergey N. when he was recording the surroundings of the home with his mobile phone in which the member of the German arms industry was registered.
During the arrest, the agents analyzed his mobile phone and found that the Ukrainian bricklayer (who had arrived in Ukraine as a war refugee) was in contact with at least one instructor which, according to the German authorities, would belong to the GRU.
