Zamioculcas is a plant from the succulent family. It delights with beautiful, dark green leaves that do not lose their intense color even in winter. Zamiokulkas thrives indoors and is not demanding. It is said that it is the perfect potted flower for people who don’t have a hand with plants. It tolerates temporary droughts well and does not need intensive fertilization. This does not mean, however, that zamioculcas is not worth fertilizing from time to time. Appropriate fertilizers will ensure that the zamioculcas has constant access to nutrients and properly loosened soil in the pot. The best ways to naturally fertilize zamioculcas include egg shells. There is no shortage of eggs at home during Easter. Prepare boiled egg shells, crush them and mix with zamiokulkasa. Since I started using this fertilizer, my zamioculcas has been growing like crazy, and its leaves are always perfectly green. Egg shells release lime into the soil, which supports growth processes and stimulates the plant. Additionally, egg shells drain the soil in the pot, making it more permeable.

Zamioculcas needs a moderate temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius in summer and 15 degrees Celsius in winter. The soil in the pot should be permeable, humus and slightly acidic. Zamioculcas can be fertilized from early spring until the end of the growing season, in October. In such conditions, zamioculcas will always grow properly and its leaves will not turn yellow.
