Councilor Priscila Costa (PL-CE) is one of the reasons for the clash between Michelle and Flávio Bolsonaro that culminated in the publication of videos criticizing the children of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) this Wednesday. While Michelle wants to launch Priscila as a candidate for the Senate, Flávio’s group prefers to opt for the name of state deputy Alcides Fernandes (PL).
Priscila Costa describes herself on social media as the most voted councilor in the Northeast and pre-candidate for the Senate. She is also president of PL Mulher do Ceará and national vice-president of PL Mulher, led by Michelle. She has already taken on the role of federal deputy as a substitute, after incumbent Yury do Paredão took a leave of absence in 2023. She is also a journalist and pastor.
The regional directory wants to launch state deputy Alcides Fernandes on Ciro Gomes’ ticket. He is the father of André Fernandes, state president of PL. The articulation has the support of Flávio. Michelle already supports the pre-candidacy for the Senate of Priscila Costa, national vice-president of PL Mulher and one of her main allies.

In the video published on Wednesday, Michelle Bolsonaro also states that Priscila Costa’s name was confirmed by Jair Bolsonaro and PL president Valdemar da Costa Neto. The former first lady is also against the alliance with Ciro Gomes.
Michelle describes Priscila as “an honorable woman and faithful defender of life and conservative agendas”. In the video, she also says that the councilor helped in André Fernandes’ campaign for Mayor of Fortaleza in 2024.
