Former president of the state of and current technical director of Sebrae-SP, Marco Vinholi left the party to join the Republicans. He intends to run for federal deputy.
One of the main tucano leaders in the state in recent years, Vinholi was secretary of Regional Development under João Doria and Rodrigo Garcia and state deputy.
He was one of the PSDB’s bets for the election to the Chamber of Deputies, but he preferred to change parties to support the re-election of governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
“I thank the tucana leaders who are reformulating the PSDB and who sought my permanence, but I believe that the time has come to end this cycle, after years of contribution. In this way, I chose to join another party. The path with the governor came naturally, since we share the same principles that guide modern public management”, said Vinholi, who spent 15 years in the PSDB. He promises to help mobilize mayors and the productive sector for the governor’s re-election.
In addition to supporting Tarcísio, the former tucano is linked to former governor Rodrigo Garcia, another who recently joined the Republicans.
