Flávio says he omitted Vorcaro due to confidentiality – 05/14/2026 – Politics

The senator (-RJ) stated this Thursday (14) that he omitted his contact with the former banker, owner of Master, because of a confidentiality clause in the contract regarding the financing of the film “Dark Horse” (“underdog” in English).

The production made to honor his father, (PL), was funded with funds from Vorcaro, according to the website. The former banker even paid R$61 million to produce the film, and an audio from September 2025, whom he calls his brother.

In an interview with Globonews, Flávio denied that part of the money was used to finance his brother’s (PL) expenses in the United States, such as .

“When I speak, when I deny, in fact, that I knew him, that I had contact with him [Vorcaro] It’s because there was a confidentiality clause in that contract. My relationship with him was exclusively for the film. If I say ‘no, I have, I know Vorcaro’. What would the next question be? ‘What was your relationship with him?’ I was going to have to talk about the film. That’s the only reason I exempted myself”, said the pre-candidate for President of the PL.

At another point, Flávio said he had not lied, but that he could not breach the contract. As shown by Sheetthe fact that he said, in March, that he did not know Vorcaro and members of the right.

Flávio also stated that there will be no new surprises regarding his connection with Vorcaro. “There’s absolutely nothing,” he said.

Asked about having asked for money from a banker who was the target of investigations, Flávio said he “had no way of knowing what Brazil didn’t know” in December 2024, when the relationship began. The senator continued to collect the funds until the day before the Master’s owner was arrested, in November 2025.

Flávio stated that, even during this period, Vorcaro was only “accused”. “I hoped he would clarify,” he added.

The senator once again stated that he was not accused of anything and demanded that “garlic and nonsense” should not be mixed. He once again insisted on the installation of a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) as a defense strategy and attacked his electoral opponent, the PT.

“I’m not asking for money, I’m not extorting. He stopped honoring his commitments, he was breaching the contract. […] I will not accept being linked to these spurious contacts that the PT government has with Vorcaro”, he said.

According to the Intercept report, Vorcaro’s resources for the film went through a fund managed by Paulo Calixto, Bolsonaro’s lawyer. Flávio stated that all the funds were allocated to production and denied that his brother had benefited.

“All the resources that were contributed to this fund, which is specific to this film, are fully used to make the film,” he said.

“To set up a structure like this, create a fund, take care of legal issues, bureaucracy, you have to hire a lawyer, a lawyer Eduardo trusts. […] The lawyer is also the fund manager”, he added.
