Research by the Real Time Big Data institute released this Monday (6) shows that the former mayor of Recife João Campos (PSB) left command of the capital of Pernambuco with 75% approval. Those who reject his management are 24%. Another 1% do not know or did not respond.
Real Time Big Data interviewed 1,200 voters between April 1st and 4th. The margin of error is three percentage points and the reliability rate is 95%.
João Campos’ approval is higher among women (78%), those aged between 16 and 34 (78%) and those earning up to two minimum wages (78%).
Disapproval appears with a higher percentage among those who receive more than five minimum wages (29%), men (27%) and those between 35 and 59 years old (25%).
João Campos resigned as head of Recife city hall on Thursday, 2, to run for governor of Pernambuco. This was because electoral legislation requires politicians who hold positions in the Executive to resign within six months before the first round of elections.
João Campos’ main opponent in the elections will be the governor of Pernambuco, Raquel Lyra (PSD). With Campos’ resignation, Victor Marques (PCdoB) took charge of Recife’s city hall.
