Vienna – The weak economic development continues to put a strain on the labor market. At the end of May, over 378,000 people were registered as unemployed or in training with the Employment Service (AMS). This is an increase of 0.8 percent compared to the same month last year. The unemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points to 7.1 percent, the Ministry of Social Affairs announced on Monday.
