Lima – According to official information, conservative candidate Keiko Fujimori has secured an unassailable lead in the extremely close runoff election for the presidency in Peru. As the electoral authority announced late on Tuesday evening (local time), the daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori received 50.11 percent of the vote. Her lead over left-wing rival Roberto Sanchez is 43,386 votes. Sanchez makes allegations of fraud.
