The MEC (Ministry of Education) published this Monday (6) the notice for filling remaining vacancies in Fies (Student Financing Fund) for the first semester of 2026.
While institutions have until Thursday (9) to register vacancy proposals in Sisfies (Fies Computerized System), students will be able to register between April 22nd and 29th, exclusively through the Single Access Portal.
Interested sponsors must fill out the vacancy proposal for each course, shift and location of offering in the Sisfies FiesOferta module by Thursday (9). All signing and issuance procedures will also be carried out by the system.
After that, candidates who have participated in the Enem (National High School Exam) from 2010 onwards, with an arithmetic average of the five tests equal to or greater than 450 points, an essay grade greater than zero and a gross monthly family income per person of up to three minimum wages (up to R$4,863) will be able to register.
Furthermore, the candidate must be able to reach the minimum attendance required for the first semester of 2026 in the chosen course, shift and location.
There is broad competition and quotas for self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and people with disabilities, both in Fies and Fies Social.
Fies Social reserves 50% of vacancies for candidates with a per capita family income of up to half a minimum wage registered in CadÚnico (Cadastro Único) with updated registration. Those enrolled in Fies Social will have priority in the classification and, if pre-selected, will be able to request financing of up to 100% of the course’s educational costs.
A on May 7th. Those pre-selected must register with the CPSA (Permanent Supervision and Monitoring Committee) of the institution between May 8th and 11th.
After this validation, you will follow the confirmation procedure at the bank, with a period of up to ten days counting from the third business day following validation at CPSA.
Anyone who is not pre-selected in the single call will be automatically included on the waiting list, which will be called from May 15th to 29th.
Sort order
The classification order will follow the descending order of Enem grades, with priority, in sequence, for: candidates without higher education who have never benefited from Fies; candidates without higher education who paid off previous financing; candidates with higher education who have never benefited from Fies; and candidates with higher education who have paid off previous financing.
Fies is a MEC program established by Law No. 10,260, of July 12, 2001, with the aim of granting financing to undergraduate students in private institutions who join the program and have a positive evaluation in Sinaes (National Higher Education Assessment System).
