O Pope Leo said this Tuesday (7) that threats against population of Iran are “unacceptable”in an unusual plea hours after US President Donald Trump said he “an entire civilization will die tonight” in a social media post that shocked world leaders.
“Today (…) this threat was made against all the people of Iran, and this is truly unacceptable. Certainly, there are questions of international law, but, much more than that, it is a moral issue,” the pope told journalists, as he left his residence in Castel Gandolfo, near Rome, heading to the Vatican.
