São Paulo approves renewal with New Balance until 2032

The São Paulo Deliberative Council approved, on Tuesday (April 7, 2026), until 2032. Voting was carried out online and ended with 136 votes in favor and 91 against.

As anticipated the Poder360the contract establishes a fixed payment of R$15 million per year in royalties, corrected by the IPCA, regardless of sales volume. By meeting commercial goals, revenue can exceed R$35 million per year.

São Paulo’s Board of Directors has already approved the terms of the agreement, which will replace the current contract, valid until 2026. Under the current model, the club can receive up to R$25 million per year.

The termination fine will be R$200 million at the beginning of the term and will decrease throughout the contract, with a minimum value of R$50 million in 2032. The agreement also provides for 180 days’ notice in the event of termination.

The renewal occurs after an increase in revenue from licensed products. The club’s revenue in this segment went from R$12 million in 2024 to R$14 million in 2025, according to data considered in negotiations between the parties.

The partnership between São Paulo and New Balance began in 2024, when the North American brand replaced Adidas. The initial contract ran until 2027 and was renegotiated to run until 2032.

According to the supplier, the partnership recorded a 113% increase in revenue generated for the club compared to the previous period. Performance was driven by sales of licensed products, including game uniforms, training items and casual collections.

Among the highlights are the launch of the 3rd black shirt in 2025, inspired by the uniform worn by former goalkeeper Rogério Ceni in the 2005 World Cup, as well as exclusive women’s and children’s lines and casual sneaker models, such as the 480 SPFC and 574 SPFC.

The contract also establishes state exclusivity in São Paulo football for New Balance throughout the period of the partnership.
