Austria’s ice hackers narrowly lose game two against Latvia


Riga – One day after the 4-3 win, Austria’s national ice hockey team was defeated in the second international match in Latvia. Team boss Roger Bader’s selection lost the second test match in the World Cup preparations 0:1 (0:0.0:0.0:1) in Riga on Thursday. Oskars Lapinskis defeated ÖEHV goalkeeper Sebastian Wraneschitz in the 51st minute. Next Thursday (7 p.m.) will be the first home game in Feldkirch against Italy in the run-up to the World Cup starting May 15th in Switzerland.
