The national president of the PT, Edinho Silva, stated this Thursday (9), during an event in São Paulo, that the dispute between former ministers Marina Silva (Rede) and Márcio França (PSB) for the Senate candidacy will be resolved through dialogue.
As O GLOBO showed this week, with Fernando Haddad (PT) as a pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo and Simone Tebet (PSB) more consolidated as a pre-candidate for the Senate, the second vacancy in the dispute for the Legislative House in the state is still the target of impasses on the left.
“This dispute does not exist, I think there are two leaders from the same field, I am sure that Fernando Haddad, who is our candidate for governor in São Paulo, will conduct this dialogue in the best possible way and we will have both Márcio and Marina strengthening our project here in São Paulo, strengthening our project not only for the State, but also building the political basis for the re-election of President Lula here in the State of São Paulo”, stated Edinho.
For the PT president, after choosing the name, both França and Silva will be part of the candidacy composition.
— The support is not just the ticket, I think that, of course, we have two vacancies in the Senate, one vacancy as far as I know is defined by Simone Tebet. I think that Fernando Haddad will certainly lead this process in the best way possible. Whoever does not occupy the Senate seat will certainly have another role in the electoral process — highlighted Edinho.
The PT president’s speech took place in São Paulo, at a dinner hosted by the Esfera Brasil group, which was attended by businesspeople and lawyers, among other professionals. The president of the PSD, Gilberto Kassab, was also present.
